Got the Chiller!

I finally got a Sonic Cherry Limeade Chiller, diet that is. It was really GOOD! However, the service was not at all like it usually is. We got there around 8:40pm tonight. There was only one car there and they already had their food. We knew exactly what we wanted. So, we ordered and waited, and waited, and waited. Mark said he wanted to give the carhop a tip. So, I got a dollar for her. We still waited, and waited, and waited. All the time watching most of the employees in Sonic mopping, cleaning the machines, and just hanging out. By this time the person that came after us ordered, got their food, ordered some more food, and got that too. When the carhop was leaving from this person's car I called out to her. I asked her where our drinks were and she gave the normal answer "they are working on it and it should be right out". Of course, like all of us know, it was not even made and this was what she is trained to say for any time there is a problem. I proceeded to tell her we had been there OVER 20 minutes and wanted the manager to bring out the order. She went in and I immediately saw three regular cups be pulled from the cup shelf hanging from the ceiling. Amazing that they were working on them, but I see this happen. Within minutes from when I called the carhop over our chillers were being brought out by the manager. He, of course, was very polite and apologetic about it taking so long. I said "I should not have to pay for drinks and ice cream that should not have taken more than 5 minutes to make". He said "of course you should not and I will go right in and refund your money". He sure agreed to this way too easy. Anyway, he went in, voided the credit card transaction, came out and gave the receipt to us with 3 free ice cream cone coupons. Needless to say, we did not tip the manager, got to keep our chiller coupons and got free chillers. So, in recap, the chiller was really good, but I did not really want to wait 20 minutes to get it.
